Hello!! So I have Kali 2020.1 appliance imported on VBox. I imports successfully and I am able to log in. apt-update produces no errors, all libraries update successfully. But after an apt-upgrade or dis-upgrade kali will no longer launch. It boots, goes through the "blue dragon" load screen then goes to a black screen with a flashing cursor.
I have it now loaded back before the update and upgrade that I took a snapshot of prior to trying again. I have tried the same process a couple times and even tried re-downloading the ova. How can I troubleshoot this issue?
I found this: https://superuser.com/questions/1386768/black-screen-after-apt-get-dist-upgrade-on-kali but there wasn't a real solution provided. If I boot into the previous editions I get the same error.
