I did a install from a USB thumb drive on to this 1TB H.D. I have a few questions on updating Kali.

Version
$ uname -a Linux localhost.localdomain 5.5.0-kali2-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.5.17-1kali1 (2020-04-21) x86_64 GNU/Linux

I want to get the sources.list correct for I read that on the install the way I did it may not let me do full updates for if I interpret correct it is telling me I have to update the list.

I use the command here

davidkali@localhost:~$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main non-free contrib

so there is the output of the current repo list I have.

I am looking at a page for Kali https://www.kali.org/docs/general-use/kali-linux-sources-list-repositories/

Do I need to change my sources.list ?

make it match the one from the kali site. Copy/paste it
