Its only showing its logo screen or nothing else and when i try to get in rescue mode it is showing something like please update the file accordingly

If you allocated less amount of memory in your virtual machine for instance it takes time to load the gui.

Have you tried to restart it? Is it in 64bit? bootable USB?
