Kali linux failed installation

When i am trying to install kali linux to virtualbox it makes an error
error code is:

unable to install the selected kernel: "linux linux-image-amd64"

i am new in linux and especially kali so pls tell me how to fix it.

ive had the same problem, ive tried so many times that ive just quit. Download the vmk image from offensive-security, it works fine but its lite and some commands dont work.

ifconfig wont work, so cannot activate monitor mode for wifi card
