Hi, complete newb to Linux here. I'm trying to install on a windows 10 laptop. Initially I had WSL issues, but it appears I solved them. When I type Kali in the command bar, the icon comes up, and when I click on it, Kali opens and tells me I have a minimum install. In order, this is what I did:

1. Went to the minimum install setup information page, and clicked on the meta packages link.
2. Ran sudo apt update - it updated successfully.
3. Ran sudp apt install -y kali-linux-core - after about a billion lines of code ran, it appeared to install.

When I close Linux and open it again through the windows command line, I get the minimum install message again.

My question(s) are:
1. I don't see any drop downs at the top, should I?
2. Do I have to install Kali-Linux-Core every time?

I apologize in advance for the newb questions. I have screenshots of what happened after I update and install.

Thanks in advance,

Steve
