Hi,
I installed the following in AWS. https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-3i7zhze5fq7ci.

I followed these instructions https://www.kali.org/docs/general-use/xfce-with-rdp/.

Xrdp version is 0.9.12.

└─# lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Kali
Description: Kali GNU/Linux Rolling
Release: 2021.2
Codename: kali-rolling

Running on a t3.medium which is plenty. I hesitate to increase this, because a Windows 2019 server runs well on a t3.medium.

The desktop response time is very very slow over an RDP connection.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I've been able to determine that if I disable the wallpaper background, it speeds it up a little.
However, I can't seem to be able to make the command persist across reboots, and for all users.

I am using the following command:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background picture-options 'none'

Any help would be appreciated.
