Hey Everyone,

I am fairly new to Kali Linux and I am wanting to get into doing ethical hacking for people. I am trying to build a good toolkit to start with and wonder what others think. I have downloaded kali-linux-everything so have all the tools but I want to focus on building from a good collection of tools that are most often used in day-to-day "pen-testing" operations.

Here is the list that I am going to start focusing on to get a good handle on for using:

Aircrack-ng
Apktool
Autopsy
Autopsy forensic browser
Beef
Bettercap
Burpsuite
CMSmap
Crunch
DHCPig
Dirb
Fern wifi cracker
Fierce
findmyhash
Fluxion
FunkLoad
Hash-identifier
HTTrack
Hydra
Inundator
John the Ripper
Joomscan
King Phisher
Kismet Wireless
Lynis
MacChanger
Maltego
Metasploit
Nessus
Nikto
Nmap
NSLookup
OPENVas (GVM)
OSWAP-ZAP
Proxychains
Rainbowcrack
Reaver
SkipFish
SlowHTTPTest
Snort
Social engineering toolkit
SPARTA
SQLiv
Sqlmap
t50
TraceRoute
Whatweb
Whois
Wifite
Wireshark
WPScan
Yersinia
Zenmap

My questions to everyone are:
1. Are these a good start to build from?
2. Are there any you would add to it?
3. Are there any you would remove (duplication? outdated?)

As I get better, I can see that I will most likely be adding/removing tools in the future. Just wondered if this was a good place to start.

Thanks for any advice.
