i'm have been getting this error since i restart kali
Vidalia detected that the Tor software exited unexpectedly.
Please check the message log for recent warning or error messages.
nothing on the logs any fix wil help i found some tutorials but do not work on kali

Tor is working perfectly for me , kali 64 bit version. I've just got used at that point the bundle package from the tor site. No additonal install, nothing. Just download, unzip and you're good to go.

confirm, bundle (https://www.torproject.org/download/download-easy.html.en) working like a charm
also u can change port number of tor proxy in /etc/proxychains.conf to 9150 and u be able to use any app through tor after launching Vidalia

proxychains nmap -p80 google.com
