Hello, noobie here to kali and linux in general.
Im attempting to access a shared folder on windows 11 machine that works from other devices such as android / other win PC's.
The target IP is 192.168.8.123 and my kali laptop is 192.168.8.124.
Going into network I can see windows network but click on it does nothing...
Pinging the target works fine and vice versa so networking works.
when i type \\host name it does not work.
I have an added user in windows user1 with password.
Usualy accessing it from other devices i would click on the shared folder it would prompt me for credits and that was it..
Can someone shed some light on this? Im googling around to find the answer so all help is welcome.
p.s.
I know this is a basic issue for most of you since im a noob and its a waste of your time so its much apprecited!
