Hello Everyone,

I have a Kali with KDE Plasma DE (Linux kali 5.16.0-kali1-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 5.16.7-2kali1 (2022-02-10) x86_64 GNU/Linux) on a Dual monitor Desktop setup. Since the last update I was having issues with login where it use to bring back to the login screen after first attempt and then lead to a blank desktop after second attempt.

Since I have BTRFS, using a different snapshot gave the message:
Configuration file "/var/lib/sddm/.config/sddm-greeterrc" not writable. Please contact your system administrator.

Executing sudo chown -R sddm:sddm /var/lib/sddm/.config resolved it but now I cant change the orientation of one of the monitors even with xrandr --output HDMI-0 --rotate right

No matter how I try, it always prompts back to the login screen.

$ xrandr -q
