Hello ,

I am facing a problem running chrome browser on my OS ( Kali the latest release ).
The installation process went smoothly but when i try to open the browser it just doesn't show up (its like it stuck in the background)& when i click alt + tab (for switching between apps) i can see the chrome browser.
I tried to search online and people advice to run the browser without sandbox by adding --no-sandbox to the /usr/bin/google-chrome file, but it didn't work too.
can anybody help with such a problem ?

Thank you!

If your running it in a VM then give it more RAM, Chrome is a notorious RAM hog.
Have you fully updated your system?

Uninstall your chrome browser and download and install from official google chrome browser:
https://www.google.com/chrome/?brand=YTUH&gclid=Cj0KCQjwr4eYBhDrARIsANPywChmmtiItyZxvKvxmqX8 9Q3_vLCvCrf5K3iLsd4VQ0Eoqp3OMKPxMJYaAlwVEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Browse your download google chrome directory, click or double click to install with GUI software.
$ sudo apt update
$ apt search google-chrome
$ sudo apt install google-chrome-stable

Install chrome also automatically add google-chrome repo in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
so you can update chrome with:
