All I wanted was 2 Factor Authentication module that would run on Kali using my PC.
I used to use Authy, but they no longer support a PC version.
After struggling for an entire night, I finally decided to try Google Authenticator.
I found a page that gave instructions for installing it.
http://www.geeksforgeeks.org/setup-t...-linux-systems
I have a Linux system. OK.
It said to simply type:
sudo apt-get install wget make gcc libpam0g-dev
"After that, simply type", it says:
google-authenticator
Seems straightforward enough.
SO I entered the first command in a terminal prompt.
It started scrolling.
And scrolling.
And scrolling.
I finally started seeing all of my installed applications, one after the other, being removed.

Well that's not good, not good at all.
But if its some kind of kernel update, I know not to break out of it. So I'm stuck, just watching EVERYTHING on on my PC being deleted.
It finally ended up at a prompt.
ALL OF MY APPLICATIONS ARE GONE.
How is this even possible?
Was this a virus website?
I don't understand this.
I've never seen anything before like this and I've been using Linux for decades.
