Hey All,
have tried about everything, including whatever had been post here on the forum about NVidia drivers.
And yes, that includes the information from the person who got ***-kicked from this forum...
far from nice, but hey, let's leave politics out of this.
So, when trying to install the nvidia driver as told by kali developers, it fails...
after the install and reboot, instead of a nice cool view of 1366x768, it gives 6 screens of 800x600.
trying to correct it either with the xconfig tool or editing the xorg.conf file gives nothing.
Just more feelings of pulling my hair out.
have tried the whole thing on the website of Samiux @ http://samiux.blogspot.com/search/label/nVidia
equally annoyed by the fact it failed to work...
thought finally had found the answers here https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=109527
but same nuisance.
am almost sure after all there was to be found on-line on nouveau drivers, nvidia installation on Linux, X11 and everything else that is forgotten to mention.
that the issue lies with the horizontal and vertical sync... and in the modes off-course.
the display is being recognized at times... which is also weird.
The laptop is a Compaq CQ61-104SB with NVIDIA Corporation G98M [GeForce G 103M] (rev a1) with cuda
has anyone here had the same issue?
what was your solution?
kind regards,
JH
