Hi everyone,
just wondering why there are so many tools missing (Wash, Fern-Wifi-Cracker,....) in the new PI image 1.0.6.
Is this for a reason (new kernel) or just a mistake?

Hi ms1oo and everyone!
I've just been doing exactly the same from the first day the Kali Linux 1.0.6 RPi Image was released. Is not just that are tools missing. The thing is that it only contains less than 10 different programs. I'm booting my RasPi just now... And I can truly say that the 1.0.6 Image contains:
Wireshark
sqlmap
john
hydra
pth-...
aircrack-ng
mfoc
nfc-list
nfc-mfclassic
apache service
sshd services
Looking at this list 1.0.6 version seems something at a different level than Kali Linux used to target.
commands 'update' and 'dist-upgrade' doesn't fix this 'empty'.
Pd.: Little bit dissapointed. I'm now switching to 1.0.5.
Kind regards from Spain

I notice there is now a v1.0.6a. It might have the missing stuff.
Downloading now.
First impressions not good.... no Reaver/Wash and no Kismet in v1.0.6a.
Using an updated 1.0 image worked for me

Having the same problems with 1.0.6a for the Raspberry Pi. Tried apt-get update && apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist-upgrade -- seems to only fix the menu. Also tried "apt-get install kali-Linux" which added more packages but still not a complete set.
The post that suggests downloading from the downloads page doesn't list a particular package for the Raspberry Pi: there are packages for ARMHF and ARMEL. Are these suitable and complete?
Also, the 1.0.5 version has disappeared (or at least I can't find it, as has the 1.0 versions my ms1oo.
Help and|or suggestions greatfully accepted.
It seems like all 'good' images have been deleted.
Good to know I have a 'stock' 1.0.0 PI image backed up at home. Will upload it on sunday and post the link here.
The full meta package is 'kali-linux-full' to pull in everything that the old images had. http://www.kali.org/news/kali-linux-metapackages/ explains the different packages and what they all mean. Some of the packages that the meta packages pull in, make NO sense installing on an ARM machine, and it was decided to reduce the size of the image, we would install the top 10 tools, rather than everything, and allow the users to customize them further. Every package that was previously available on the Kali image IS still available, and you can still install them via apt-get.
Try using command "apt-get install kali-linux-full"
