Hi
Previously I've been running Kali on my older laptop without problem. I recently bought a Samsung Ativ Book 9 Plus with a screen resolution of 3200x1800.
Now, this poses a challenge.
I've installed Kali on a USB pendrive. I'm able to access the GUI without problem, and it is crystal clear. But I'm not able to lower the resolution. It's stuck at 3200x1800.
The monitor is "unknown".
I've tried:
- xrandr in different ways. I'm able to create a new resolution with this, but as I try to change to it, I get a message saying it's not valid. (Can provide more detail on this if needed)
- Checked my video drivers, and it seems to be loaded

Before I go on outputting all the longer command line outputs, does anyone know if it is even possible to run Kali on a high resolution display laptop?Bus 001 Device 015: ID 046d:c068 Logitech, Inc. G500 Laser Mouse

Note, I've successfully installed Ubuntu 13.10, and I can successfully change resolution there.
