I have installed Kali 10.0.6. 64 bit alongside windows 8 on HP Pavilion 15 n011tu(Ubuntu Certified ) .
The Ethernet always worked when booted kali through bootable pen drive

but


While kali installation it asked for rtl_nic/rtl8106e-2.fw,(Non free firmware). I didnt had this firmware during installation.(Later I tried with the firware file also but didnt worked).

After completing the installation, I downloaded the above firmware from here: https://packages.debian.org/jessie/firmware-realtek

I tried installing it using all method: dkpg -i , apt get- install etc but kali always returned an error message :

GDBus.Errorrg.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._pk_5 ftransactio n_5ferror.Code4: SimulateInstallFiles not supported by backend


Please help!!!

iwconfig (returns no wireless for all the choices )
