I am currently having issues connecting to my wireless network here at home using a Linksys wusb6300. A few years ago i never had this problem when i first started using BackTrack. VMware/BT instantly recognized the USB and i was able to connect no problem via wifi.
I have the wifi adapter mounted to the VM but no access points show up HERE. Although it doesnt say wireless i have taken several steps to try and solve the issue from downloading compat wireless, getting the latest update via terminal to even watching videos on Youtube but i come up to a dead end.
Under:
ifconfig-a "eth0 and lo" are displayed not wlan0
lsusb: Bus 002 device 002 ID 13b1:003f Linksys <-----at least is recognizes the device...
Following YouTube tutorials doesn't not help resolve my issue. I have also read the wireless troubleshooting guidelines but im still stuck.
Obviously the only way i can connect to the internet via Linux is going wired under "eth0"
Any guidance would be helpful, thanks.
