Hey all, I've been researching for hours already and can't find the fix. I had my system running a dual boot, Win 7 and Kali Linux for my job. This morning I deleted the Kali partition from my windows box, and booted to a USB ISO containing kali, or at least tried to. This is when I get hit with the GRUB RESCUE menu.
An LS command shows me my drives and partitions, which, when set prefix=(hd0,msdos1) then set root=(hd0,msdos1). I run the set command then try booting it doesn't work gives me an error no such partition. I've followed the various guides and striking out.
LS shows me the following drives/partitions- (hd0) (hd0,msdos3) (hd0,msdos2) (hd0,msdos1). I am at a loss, please give me your thoughts and advice.
I am simply trying to boot off of a usb or cd at this point, I would like to install Kali so I can run some testing as needed. Thank you.
