Does anyone know what causes a screen blackout shortly after the screenlock comes on? At this point I need to reboot and always in the middle of testing.

Using the dictionary attack seems somewhat futile with today's AP pw's (using aircrack-ng). But maybe I haven't had the patience to sit and babysit my faulty screenlock.
Is there another app that uses brute force on .cap files gathered from airodump-ng?
Thx for any ideas, even if I just need to be patient and let it run through multiple wordfiles.
