Dear kali community,
I'm using a Nexus 6 with stock ROM (Android 6.0.1 MMB29Q) at the moment. I installed Elemental X 3.10.40 N6-3.08 via TWRP 3.0.0 and updatet via EX Kernel Manager to 3.09. Rooted via SuperSU 2.65. Busyboy Pro installed. I also installed Kali Nethunter 3.0.5.
Problem at the moment is: My wifi stick TP-Link TL-WN722N is not recognized any longer as wifi extension, when checking via iwconfig, no "wlan1" is shown.
The stick is found when checking dmesg and even via lsusb. Everything seems fine. I don't know what I have changed except updating the kernel.
When entering lsmod or lsmod | grep -i ath9k to check the modules, I get:
libkmod: ERROR ../libkmod/libkmod-module.c:1638 kmod_module_new_from_loaded: could not open /proc/modules: No such file or directory
Error: could not get list of modules: No such file or directory
I also tried a Alfa AWUS036N wifi module. Same thing. Not found via iwconfig, found via lsusb and dmesg.
For me, this looks like a kernel problem. I stepped back to 3.08 from 3.09 but nothing changed.
I tried switching USB debug mode on and off. Tried changing USB configuration in developer settings (MTP, PTP, RNDIS, ...). Tried a Y cable to add more power. Nothing helped.
Now I'm hoping you can help me with that.
I'm thankful for every idea and hint from you.
Many thanks in advance and best regards
Muhackl
