i would like to be able to update my Metasploit framework from a prior manually downloaded Metasploit framework update.

For downloading the update i used the following command: httpx://github.com/rapid7/metasploit-framework


Question
Is it possible to have metasploit updated from a locally stored update/download? How?

I do know that if you are connected to the web, the following command should be used: # update metasploit
