Installing kali 2016.2 not booting from HDD

HI .

I have installed and reinstalled , formatted the HDD and Reformatted the Drive Kali 2016.2 just wont boot Desktop keeps on saying that i must insert a bootable disk. I have even changed it in the bios and still no luck.

If I install the kali 2016.1 then all works good. I just want to have the latest build.

I followed the instructions all the way nothing works and cannot boot into the kali 2016.2 but can boot into it using kali live usb.

Is this a common problem or should i wait for another release.

First things first have you verified the hashes of your download? Maybe it got corrupted.

when you install your kali, don't take updates from internet. its broke grub installer, and than, you cannot boot into kali 2016.2. I tried few times and lost my all 1 TB data but i found this solution. So i hope it will help you. Just when you on install screen, i mean when it asking you for install updates on Internet, don't install.
