I cannot open any application in Kali Linux

Hi, I installed Kali Linux to my old PC. It's system properties;

Ram : 4GB

video card: NVIDIA Geforce Go 7300

Kali version: 2016.2 (64bit)

I installed Kali successfully but I can't start any application except settings and file explorer.

E.g When I open Terminal(Console), It is a black screen and terminal at the corner for 5 seconds after that comes Login screen.

One hundred pluses to your, sir!!! I have the same issue right now!

What do i done to stuck with this problem:
1) I got vmware 12.1.
2) I download and run image for vmware from kali downloads
3) I Start virtual machine
4) I dont have any issues and can run any programs
5) I install Vmware tools and restart virtual machine. I think that was mistake.
Result: I cant run any program. When I open Terminal(Console), It is a black screen and terminal at the corner for 5 seconds after that comes Login screen.

I try to reinstall vmware and update it to 12.5.1. I try reinstall virtual machine kali. Nothing helps.

Please help us gods of hacking.

Just wait few days to solve that ( to release new version) or use older Kali imagaes or some lite img
