hyperv_fb module does not load in hyper-v VM
I've spent about 4 hours on this. Kali 2016.2, fully updated, in a generation 2 hyper-v Vm running on Windows 10. I wanted to increase the resolution, so i found the threads describing how to update grub. I triple checked that my settings are right, but lsmod does not show that hyperv_fb is loading.
help!

FIXED!
you need to install BOTH open-vm-tools and open-vm-tools-desktop
on a HiDPI screen, it also helps to set:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface scaling-factor 2
