I was just wondering if any knows or has experience with installing and running kali on the new ryzen cpu's and if they have had any issues with it.
i have no issues as so far i just did a standard kali installation and upgraded i didnt install amd drivers or anything just whats reqd to get gpu up and running but everything seems stable
however today i booted up and ran updates and upgrade and dist upgrade then tried to to a hashcat benchmark and this happens
hashcat -b

it worked in benchmarks the the other day i think 4/20 or so
I'm assuming that you're using a AMD GPU?
I'm curious about the CPU performance and such. I've installed it a few times but would have string, float errors on start-up but haven't looked into the errors yet.
no im on a 1080ti
i think the symlink dissapeared during the update ima try reinstalling the drivers today

I am thinking of buying a Ryzen 5 1600x to run instances of Kali Linux on virtual machines. Are they working ok as of now or should I go the I5 way?
Sorry if this is outdated but was the only post that has some reasonable info to begin with.
