Trouble Dual Booting Kali to 2017 MacBook

    Good Morning,

I'm trying to dual boot Kali to my new MacBook and I'm having issues with doing it.

Here's some information about my Mac.

    For references I'm using https://docs.kali.org/installation/k...n-mac-hardware

I'm also using a YouTube video

At step 6 In the Install part, and before I come to the screen for partitioning, I get this screen, which appears to be saying that it can't find my hard drive.

This is the Hard drive on my computer.

Apologies for redacting information on some of those pages, I just tend to black out information that might uniquely identify my computer.

Can anyone help me with this? I turned Filevault off also.

    Thank you in advance.

Hmm, can you boot Kali in live mode from DVD or USB, to verify it picks up your hardware?

Go to UEFI settings>System configuration>select AHCI

That brings another problem that I might have to start another thread about. When I try to use the DVD or USB I created, it causes it to have a distorted screen.

Thank you for your reply! I am definitely willing to try that, I'm just having a problem finding where to do it? I can't find UEFI settings. Any ideas where it might be? Google has not been very helpful either.

UEFI settings are your BIOS boot settings.

I asked on the Apple Support forums and they said that AHCI is already enabled. Do you think it could be anything else?

You should try kali weekly image. See if it works.
