No tap-to-click option in settings in version 2017.3?

Hello, I'm currently dualbooting on a Macbook Pro with version 2017.3 of Kali. I remember there was an option that enabled tap to click with the touchpad in an earlier version, but I guess it was removed for this one. Is there a way to restore that option/fix it with terminal? Thanks.

Which version of Kali have you tried?

    Checking the following:

Both Gnome and Mate have Tap to Click option.
xfce and light do NOT have Tap to Click option.

    kali-linux-2017.3-amd64.iso (gnome desktop)
Settings > Devices > Mouse and Trackpad > Tap option

    kali-linux-mate-2017.3-amd64.iso
System > Preferences > Hardware > Mouse > Tap option

    kali-linux-xfce-2017.3-amd64.iso
    No Tap option

    kali-linux-light-2017.3-amd64.iso
    No Tap option
