Why apt-get upgrade crashes my Kali

Previously my kali linux was facing error and crashes after "apt-get upgrade " as some tools, during depackaging caused error.
So plz tell how to avoid this error and how can i fully upgrade my device.

.
(Additionally, I use kali live, in usb(persistence) i dont think its the reason from that).

Now i got that, we cant upgrade persistence, if we try, it will get crashed! M i right?

You need to configure the packages which have been unpacked but not yet configured.
To Fix this :
1- Enter root shell: Press ALT+F1
2- Enter User name and password for user.
3- Type command:
$ dpkg --configure -a
