macchanger >> Network driver didn't actually change to the new MAC!!

Hi,

I am NOT able to change the Wireless Adapter Mac Address in Kalli Linux using MacChanger.

Before running macchanger I am running

ifconfig wlan0 down

macchanger -r wlan0

ifconfig wlan0 up

<output >>> Network driver didn't actually change to the new MAC!!

[autotune]

Create a file and add the following:

sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/[email protected]

[Unit]
Description=macchanger on %I
Wants=network-pre.target
Before=network-pre.target
BindsTo=sys-subsystem-net-devices-%i.device
After=sys-subsystem-net-devices-%i.device

[Service]
ExecStart=/usr/bin/macchanger -e %I
Type=oneshot

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target

sudo systemctl enable [email protected]

Reboot and check.
