Your kali install with EFI guide is old. It is valid for kali 2016.2 but new kali 2017.1 fully supports UEFI. Just creating kali 2017.1 bootable USB...
This one solution is completely broken. I've tested it. Without chrooting into the installed kali filesystem one can't use the grub-install command....
If rescue commands are not working then the only solution is to use the first post. But doing that is also giving you lot of errors. Show the output...
