Looking at the Roadmap page on the Bug Tracker, clues and logical deduction have me believe that the next Kali will be 2.0 based on Debian Jessie, skipping 1.1.0. It is scheduled for Feb 2015.
There's been alot of improvements since 1.0.9a, but what other improvements will 'Jessie' bring?
