54 vs 54e in airodump?

In airodump, I see

What is the difference between 54 and 54e? Is 54 802.11g and 54e 802.11n?

54e means that the rate is above 54mbps.
It could be "super-G" from atheros (up to 108 mbps - that existed :D wikipedia - Super G wireless networking ) or using the A band.
But in 99% it is indeed a N router, usualy 150 or 300 mbps

Actually, I just found this on the aircrack website... http://www.aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?id=airodump-ng. It says the "e" actually means that the network has QOS enabled. However, I'm fairly certain that only 802.11n networks have QOS so it essentially means the same thing.
