System: Pop!_OS 20.10
Kali ISO: kali-linux-2020.4-live-amd64.iso
I am running into some issues trying to flash Kali to a USB drive with persistence, and I was hoping someone on here might be able to point me to where I'm messing up.
1) I go through the flashing process using Etcher.
2) Etcher completes validation but then posts an error that the flash failed.
3) I boot to Kali but when prompted for credentials the defaults listed on the kali webpage don't work.
4) I wipe the usb drive, flash again using Etcher but skip validation.
5) I boot to Kali and don't get a prompt for credentials. I'm taken straight to the desktop and things appear to work.
6) I follow the instructions on the persistence page, but get the following error when I run the command parted /dev/sdb mkpart primary ${start}MiB $end
Information: You may need to update /etc/fstab.
Any thoughts about what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm fairly new to Kali. I just downloaded the Kali 2021.1 then created a bootable usb disk. Tried loading it up but when I reach to the installation screen where it shows the option "Graphical Install" etc... my keyboard won't work. It seems that it stuck. I am using a USB gaming keyboard. Can anyone help? Thanks!

when I try to install from the USB, the installer complains that I don't have the disc in the DVD drive. Well, of course I don't--it should come from the USB drive. And I can't get past that step. Anyone having the same problem? vidmate mobdro

hi, i'm trying to install kali from the USB live version amd-64 and when i launch it it does that https://www.***********************w1GuuQsJTr8 . I have an installer .iso amd-64 too and it does not do that. But i can't install kali with it because it says my drive is not a proper ubuntu drive installer. I can't find anyone who has the same problem and no ideas as where to start looking.
PS: sorry for bad english
