Timeshift not detecting kali partition

Timeshift is not detecting my boot or home partitions and i couldnt find any solution to it on google, i have tried apt purging timeshift and reinstalling it, restarting pc etc. I dont have any unofficial sources in apt sources file. In the timeshift wizard, it doesnt display any partition and displays select the snapshot device. After going through the wizard skipping that step, it shows in the bottom corner of timeshift that it is in live usb mode but its installed on my laptop. i dont know why this is not working someone heylp.

It is a fresh install, installed today using live usb
Kali version: 2021.2
Installed on nvme ssd
