The more characters I type the further the cursor becomes from where it should be... (OnePlus 7 Pro)

This is making using the console on NetHunter pretty difficult. The more characters I type the further the little block cursor becomes to where it should be. The characters are appearing in the correct place, but the cursor just moves far away gradually.

I am using the Kali NetHunter shell. I'm going to try to find the problem, but please, if anyone has experience with this let me know.
