Beginners CD Folders question

i downloaded a file to windows downloads folder but cant navigate to the Downloads folder in Kali Linux terminal.


root@DESKTOP-xxxxxxx:~# cd Downloads
-bash: cd: Downloads: No such file or directory
root@DESKTOP-xxxxxxx:~#


Am i misunderstanding something fundamental.

Assuming you're talking about WSL, the Downloads folder in Windows is mounted at /mnt/c/Users/(YOURWINDOWSUSERNAME)/Downloads
