kali cant differ partitions ?

hi
im trying to install kali with a usb, i have 500 gb space, disk C 100 gb with windows on it, disk D with my file on it with 400 gb, i created a new partition E with 100 gb, formatted it to ext 4 and restarted into the usb, when in partitions i choose manually and kali install loads the disks, in the list i see only 2 disks C with 100 gb and D with 400 gb and the D systems is ext4, i rebooted into windows and checked my disks i see C with 100 gb ntfs and D with 300 gb ntfs and E with 100 gb EXT3 !
whats im droing wrong ?
