Alfa Network AWUS036NHA not working correctly

Hi
I have Kali linux running in a VMWare virtual machine.

I have an Alfa Network AWUS036NHA USB wireless adapter connected but I get the following error in dmesg output

I have googled the issue and have seen some people have had success with safely removing from the host and then reconnecting to the guest OS. I have had limited success with this. Sometimes it works but a lot of the time it does not.

Anyone have any idea what I can do to solve this?

Here is some more info
Guest OS in VMWare Workstation 12 Pro 12.5.1 build-4542065:
Linux kali 4.8.0-kali1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.8.5-1kali1 (2016-11-04) x86_64 GNU/Linux

Host OS: Windows 10 x64

Hi,

Yes, I have searched both the forum and through Google.

I read that post, however it is for VirtualBox. I have tried using VirtualBox butit wouldn't allow the adapter to be connected at all. I'd prefer to stay with VMWare since it has worked in the past using that.

Yes, the card works fine on Windows 10.

In windows， open device manager， uninstall ar9271 wireless card driver，make sure that the driver files are aslo deleted。 Plug out your dongle ， start your kali in vm，plug in it。Now everything should be ok。
