Kali2+Xfce, Keyboard stops working
I'm using Kali 2.0+Xfce, and I've just lost the keyboard. By "lost" I mean that all keys are being ignored, even Ctrl+Alt+F1. I didn't do anything unusual, just using Burp. If I log out and log in again, the keyboard will work again.
I'm looking for a way to get the keyboard back in case I cannot afford to log out the next time I lose the keyboard.
I can use Xfce's "Switch User" menu, and in the login screen the keyboard is working. If I log back into my session, it's not working anymore. From the login screen I can use Ctrl+Alt+F1 and log in as root - the keyboard is working there too. It's just in the Xfce session where the keyboard has stopped working.
I'm running Kali in VMware Workstation and I can run commands by pasting them into my Xfce session. Is there any command/tool I could try to resuscitate the keyboard?
