Firmware emulation works with ubuntu and not kali

I have been using FAT (https://github.com/attify/firmware-analysis-toolkit) to emulate embedded device firmware using binwalk, firmadyne and other tools.
It has been working fine in Ubuntu. In kali only few firmware is being emulated. Example: I am trying to emulate a router firmware. Network interface is up as tap1 but when i try to ping or nmap or open the address in a browser no response.

Kali 2016.2 Release.
1. No restrictive IP table
2. Network interface properly created
3. Routing table generated properly.
