Changing MAC Address Issues With 4.14 Kernel (4.13 Kernel is fine)

Greetings All,

So I have two distros I boot into for Kali (4.13 and 4.14 with the newest kernel). With the 4.13 kernel am able to change the MAC address of my computer with no issues using macchanger and also under settings.

Using the 4.14 kernel, while I am able to change the MAC address, once I do, my router continuously asks for the password to access it. Once I change the MAC address back to the real one, I am able to connect with no issues. This issue occurs using macchanger and under settings.

I am not sure if it's an issue with the router, or if there is something I am missing elsewhere. The router is a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900/C7000 wifi router. Seems like a simple fix but I haven't found anything that points me in the right direction. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
