General problems with Kali on Virtual Box

I recently built a new pc, freshly installed win10 and virtual box. I've downloaded different ova files of linux os, like ubuntu, also 2 of them (ova files) were kali linux os. All of them gave me similar problems: crashes, freezes, black screen, etc. Plus, when I try updating/upgrading/installing things, I always get errors, mainly hash mismatch ones. On my old pc I had a lot less problems, is it cause of some settings on my win10 or on my virtual box that are wrong? There are so many problems that I really don't know where to start :(
