I lack hardware knowledge for a device

I went to flash a Rock Chip and I can get into recovery and rockusb.

I have complied some junk boots. I Got half way in and watched the monitor light up. trying to put a better android ROM on it.

After a while I was going to try to flash linux on to it..Then I erased my windows 11 with a sd card and kali.iso and lost my backup prop file for the device.

Can I boot kali linux live onto a motherboard that is ubuntu complatible?
I think its an Arm7.. but not positive. It ran Android 7.1.2 Nougat before I cleaned it.
it has wifi, IR, micro sd, usb, aux out, Hdmi, power.

spent weeks at Github and Xda.
