List of kali tools that need manual updates?

So far I've discovered two kali linux tools that require manual updates (whereas apt-get retrieves the latest edition of the tool itself):
- openVAS
- joomla

What others are there that can be added to this list?
Since I'm not terribly familiar with the various kali linux tools (I'm working on it!), it would also be nice to have a link or description of what is going on with the tools' content update, and exactly how to accomplish it.

Reason I ask, is that I've created my own little 'update.sh' script to accomplish the various OS level updates for me, vice having to manually run them by hand. I've intended to add pieces to also automatically update tool content like openVAS, joomla, metaspolit(?), etc...
