Which smartphones support monitor mode?

Hi,

First of all I am referring to Android / Gnu/Linux smartphones in general and not just the few supported models.

I am looking at Ubuntu Phone in particular. It is available for many devices and I can apt-get from the whole ARM repository.
But I just can't find anywhere on the internet which wifi chipsets they use.
Is there any easy way to find out whether devices like the bq Aquaris E4.5 support monitor mode?
I know that I could use a wifi dongle but it would be better if I wouldn't have to.
