i think the problem its becouse my graphics its old your i doing something wrong

Nouveau should probably support it. Out of curiosity, why do you need nvidia drivers installed on that laptop?

What commands did you run, what errors did you get?

If manually, did you use Nvidia driver selector to tell you what driver you need.
