Monitor mode with TL-WN722N 5.6.0-kali2-amd64

Hello,

Firstly I'd like to give a brief background on what is going on:

- VMware virtual machine (USB 2.0)
- KDE Plasma # Nice look

Secondly cloned the rtl8188eus drivers for TL-WN722N from https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8188eus.

Then, I crossed my fingers as I tried those two methods to enable monitor mode:

I cannot enable monitor mode, and cannot find any reference to what those error messages mean.
