Change Keyboard Layout not working

Hello,

I can't seem to change the keyboard layout on VirtualBox Kali Xfce. It doesn't seem to be a VirtualBox issue, since I setup another vm (ParrotOS Mate) no problem right after, but I'm not an expert. Thanks in advance!

To change from Qwerty to Dvorak I've tried:
1.) Going into Settings > Keyboard > Layout. It shows that I'm only using Dvorak layout but when I type it's still QWERTY
