Apparently it has something to do with Kernel 4.15 support for Intel wireless chips..
So for the time being we'll have to stick with 4.14.

I have Kali Linux installed as a dual-boot OS on my MacBook Air.
Everything runs fine, I did the dist-upgrade to update all modules and kernels.
After the update, Kali would pass the grub and go...
