I've been scouring the net trying to find an install on my nexus 7 2013 ver. without having to blast away the android OS. (but i don't really mind, i hardly use this tablet)
I've tried "Complete...
"Detect and mount CD-ROM" "The CD-ROM does not seem to contain a valid 'Release' file, or that file could not be read correctly."
Im getting this error when trying to install Kali 1.0.5.
Now,...
I just tried that one from Hackdig, up to the install of nvidia-cuda-toolkit, and receive the following error:
root@Phill:~# apt-get install nvidia-cuda-toolkit
Reading package lists... Done...
So if i dont use the nvidia-xconfig command, how does my video card get selected at boot?
The blog is good, but it has nothing i havn't seen before to help me, sorry.
thats a negative ghost rider.. still got the blinking cursor
lol, i dont care about removing the startup conf; it doesnt answer/help my question.

i still get the blank screen, blinking underscore top left of screen after installing Nvidia driver/cuda tools - yes ive done the nvidia-xconfig command.
Every god **** time! :(
ive tried alot...
Ive done two installs;
One laptop: i updated only kernel headers, i can log off properly (no blank black screen and i cant do anything)
One computer: updated all updates, inc kernel headers,...
Yeah i added a few more update sources, done a apt-get update, fixed the problem.
was tough to find for a must needed fix for Kali.
